Hajira Naiwumbwe
Below is the testimony of Hajira Naiwumbwe a 32 year old single mother of 4 children.

"I was a single lady and a Muslim. I lived in despair locking myself in my home not wanting to come out for any reason. I was so depressed that I want only to die. Very early after my marriage when I would be walking with my husband he would run up to other women to court them as Muslim men are permitted to do as they may have many wives. I didn't like this which made my husband angry so he abandoned me. So I was separated from my husband with no means of support and 4 children. I had no job and so I found no reason to keep living.

Then one day my friend Susan came to visit me. She told me about the festival that was coming soon to our town. She said I may find some hope if I would only go there to hear the message. So I did go to the Festival on the very first night and I listened to the preacher from U.S. He told about Jesus and how He can save me so when he asked me to come to the platform I went and prayed for Jesus to make me born again.

Now that Christ is in me I have now peace of mind. I still have times when I get attacked by despair but when that happens I now sing a song of praise to the Lord and I regain my peace and joy!"
