“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to
shine upon you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you
peace.” Numbers 6:24
Through the years I have prayed this
beautiful blessing over others, but today I feel like many have
prayed it over
Eternity Minded Ministries! I am so
blessed by how the Lord continues to use our ministry to bring
about transformation in the lives of others.
God worked deeply in hundreds of souls during Mission Belen.
Although the level of the Amazon River was high and caused us to
change some plans, we were never rained out of any ministry. We
had a wonderful team and the Lord used them greatly in leading
many to Christ. On the last night, the mayor’s assistant said to
me, “You must come back, you must come back!” It is always a joy
to return to help the churches with discipleship, so we will go
back to Belen in July with Bibles for the new believers and
additional humanitarian aid. If you would like to give a Bible
to a new believer you may do so for only $3.00.
In a few weeks I will send you a beautiful pictorial report of
how God used you, our team, and EMM to bless the people of Belen.
I want to take some time to gather testimonies and stories that
will thrill you as you read what took place. This week, however,
we are moving the EMM office! A friend of our ministry owns a
building much closer to where we live and made us an offer we
couldn’t refuse. We are truly blessed by this gift!
With all the excitement about Mission
Belen, I neglected to tell you about a fantastic opportunity
taking place in the
inner city of London next month.
Manor Park, a borough in the east side of London, is a tough
area known for its huge immigrant population. In fact, in just a
few square miles over 125 languages are spoken!
Please pray for me as I join my good friends Nigel Gordon and
David Foster in taking the Gospel to Hindus, Muslims,
occultists, and atheists. During this strategic outreach May
10-17 I will be giving 14 messages of hope. The audiences will
be diverse, ranging from city officials to rowdy street teens.
People often ask where the hardest place is for me to preach and
I always say, without a doubt, England! Inner city London is the
toughest part of England, so I will covet your prayers!
As EMM partners with churches in Manor Park to take the Gospel
of Christ to some of the toughest places in London, your gifts
this month will bring light to a very dark place. The Lord is,
indeed, “making His face to shine upon us” as we share His
salvation message around the world. Thank you for your continual
commitment to making disciples!
With Eternity in Mind,
Dan Owens
